Hydrodynamic makes life jackets (PFDs), wetsuits, rash guards and other neoprene and nylon products for brands and retailers, under their own labels. We have done it since 1988.
From foam to finished product
We laminate, cut, print, sew and check in our own factories, so material, quality and lead time stay under our control.

- One of the first overseas manufacturers to earn US Coast Guard and Canadian Coast Guard approval, with our PFD factory opened in 2002.

Cutting
Neoprene is sliced, laminated and cut on site, on hydraulic and automatic gantry cutting machines, so we control the material from the start.

Printing
Logos and graphics are printed in house on printing tables and heat-transfer machines, before the panels are sewn.

Cut and sew
Panels are sewn on lock-stitch, zigzag and flat-bed interlock machines. High-end wetsuits are glued and blind-stitched, and life jackets get their foam inserts at this stage.

Quality checking
Life jackets are buoyancy-tested in our water tanks. Every finished product is then checked, packed and passed through needle detection before it ships.
Where we make it
- Heyuan, Guangdong, China: our main factory since 2006, with neoprene slicing and lamination on site.
- Hai Duong, Vietnam: 25,000 m², about 40 minutes by car from Haiphong port.
- Further production in Cambodia and Thailand.
Hydrodynamic manufactures for Sport Dimension’s brands, including Stohlquist, Jetpilot and Body Glove, and for international watersports brands and retailers. Our sister company Stallion Sport in Hong Kong handles sourcing and product development. Customer work stays private: we do not publish name-brand samples.
Questions buyers ask
What is your minimum order?
For water wear, 25 pieces per size per colourway, and US$7,000 per shipment.
How long does production take?
60 to 90 days after the sample and order are confirmed in the slow season, and 75 to 120 days in peak season.
Which approvals do your life jackets carry?
It depends on the model. We make US Coast Guard approved PFDs, ULC tested PFDs for Canada, and CE approved buoyancy aids and life jackets (EN ISO 12402) for Europe, and our PFDs have also been certified by SAI, NZSS and SA. EU Declarations of Conformity are published for our CE models.
Where are your factories?
Heyuan, Guangdong, China (since 2006) and Hai Duong, Vietnam (since 2021), with further production in Cambodia and Thailand. Our head office is in Hong Kong.
How much can you make each month?
At our Heyuan factory: up to 300,000 nylon PFDs, 200,000 neoprene PFDs, 200,000 flatlock-sewn wetsuits and dive suits, and 50,000 high-end glued and blind-stitched wetsuits.
Can I get a sample?
Yes. We can usually send a sample from a past production run, or make one to your specification.
Do you make products under my brand?
Yes. We make life jackets, wetsuits and neoprene products under our customers’ own labels, and we do not publish customers’ name-brand products.
